Been wanting to install the very popular after market ROM, CyanogenMod on your phone but don’t know how ? Your worries might be a thing of the past as CyanogenMod has just pushed out the first version of the CyanogenMod Installer app to the Play Store.
The application works in tandem with a desktop app to guide you and complete the entire process of rooting your phone, unlocking the bootloader and installing CyanogenMod. Essentially, it does not require any user input or any pre existing modifications. Your phone will be factory reset during the process so you’ll want to backup your data before proceeding. The desktop application is only supported on Windows Vista, 7 and 8 machines at the moment and can be found right here. CyanogenMod is aiming at compatibility with all current flagships in its first release. The app is available on the Play Store now. The full list of supported phones is right below. Remember that you void your warranty when you install or even attempt to install a custom ROM so you might want to double check if you want to go ahead with the process.
