Samsung launched the Galaxy S Duos 2, the latest smartphone in the Galaxy series, and the successor of the Galaxy S Duos in India earlier this week. We already brought you the unboxing of the device, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom BCM21664T processor based on ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and VideoCore 4 GPU. The chip supports 3G HSPA+ connectivity up to 21 Mbps. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display at 233 ppi pixel density. It has 768MB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The S Duos 2 tops the AnTuTu Benchmark 2 by scoring 8928 points.
Vellamo 2.0 HTML5
The phone manages to score 1535 points in the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark.
Vellamo 2.0 Metal
It scores 417 points in the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsystem performance test.
Linpack Single Thread
It managed to clock around 45.7 MFLOPS in the Linpack single thread benchmark.
Linpack Multi-Thread
In the linpack multi-thread benchmark, it managed to clock around 76.9 MFLOPS.
NenaMark 2
It clocked 54.9 fps in the NenaMark 2 GPU Benchmark.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
It clocked 6.7 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex, better than the Grand Quattro.
GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen)
The Galaxy S Duos 2 clocked 18fps in the GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD GPU benchmark.
Basemark X HD (Onscreen)
The Galaxy S Duos 2 powered by VideoCore 4 GPU tops the Basemark X OnScreen benchmark.
Basemark X HD (Offscreen)
It clocked around 2.6 fps in the Basemark X OffScreen benchmark, better than Xperia C.
