Sony has announced that they have started rolling out a new WALKMAN update (version 8.0.A.0.4) for the Z series devices that brings new playlist features. Sony updated all the media apps
on these devices back in August 2013 and introduced “smart playlist” feature in the WALMAN app recently. The new update also brings new TrackID features and new playlist and preview features in Music Unlimited regions.
New features in Sony WALKMAN app
- “Newly added” playlist
- “Most played” playlist
- “Now playing” indicator for songs, albums and playlists
- Save a friend’s shared playlist function (Only for Music Unlimited users)
- TrackID history playlist that remembers your search history (Availability may vary by market)
- 30 second free preview of every track in Music Unlimited’s library
The new Sony WALMAN update is now rolling out for the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and the Xperia Tablet Z.
