LG unveiled the G2, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event last month. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The device is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-coreSnapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked with 480 MHz Adreno 330 GPU. The Xperia Z Ultra was clocked at 2.15 GHz, but the G2 is clocked at 2.27 GHz as you can see in the CPU-Z in the image above. We brought you the benchmarks of the Snapdragon 800 on a reference smartphone few months back. Here we have also compared it in these benchmarks to show you the difference. Even though this one is slightly undercloked than the original chip that is clocked at 2.3 GHz, benchmarks are almost similar.
Quadrant Benchmark
The LG G2 beats the Xperia Z Ultra powered by a similar chip in the Quadrant benchmark.
AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3
In the AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3, the LG G2 is behind the Xperia Z Ultra.
Vellamo 2.0 HTML5
The LG G2 managed to score close to 2600 points in the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser Benchmark.
Vellamo 2.0 Metal
Again the Xperia Z Ultra leads the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsystem performance test. The LG G2 grabs the fourth spot.
SunSpider Javascript Benchmark
The LG G2 clocked 738.9ms in the SunSpider Javascript benchmark.
Linpack Single Thread
The LG G2 tops the Linpack single thread benchmark.
Linpack Multi-Thread
The LG G2 scores better than the Xperia Z Ultra in the linpack multi-thread benchmark.
NenaMark 2
The G2 clocked 60.4 fps in the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
The LG G2 clocked 23 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex benchmark, almost similar to the Z Ultra.
GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen)
The G2 clocked 48fps in the GFXBench 2.5 Egypt GPU benchmark.
Basemark X HD (Onscreen)
Since the Snapdragon 800 development device has a 720p screen it tops the Basemark X Onscreen benchmark. The LG G2 grabs the fourth spot.
Basemark X HD (Offscreen)
In the Basemark X Offscreen benchmark the G2 clocked around 12.6 fps to grab the third spot, just behind the Z Ultra.
